Earth Hour

Tonight at 8pm (everyone's local time) turn off your lights to participate in Earth Hour.

If every American household turned off their lights for one hour 16,500 tons of CO2 would be saved from escaping into the atmosphere. Yikes! That's a lot of junk.

I so wish it had been promoted better. Someone left a sign up in my elevator but not until late. By the time I got home it was past time but at least I only had one light lit (for the kitties) in my house. I think I'm going to do it every night for a while.

It definitely wasn't well promoted. It's only the 2nd year, so maybe it will catch on better in the US.
