Mother's Day

Today was a lovely day here. We spoke to Lindsay about letting mommy sleep in today. She was so excited about Mother's Day that she woke up at 6:40am declaring the holiday. She was too excited to go back to sleep, so Neil took her and entertained her until I woke up at the decadent hour of 8:45. They were busy making a lovely breakfast feast when I made it upstairs. Lindsay helped squeeze oranges and buy croissants and Neil made bacon and eggs with fresh berries on the side. It was delicious.

After the feast we went to the car wash, which is a huge treat for Lindsay and then the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, which is a huge treat for me. The gardens were spectacular with gorgeous peonies, wisteria and lilacs in full bloom. We had fun rolling down this green hill. Neil did it too and looked about as graceful as I did.

We are now in the midst of excavating dinosaur bones out of a dinosaur egg that Lindsay got at her friend Noah's birthday party yesterday. Too fun!
